A 20 shot panorama looking down over Lake O'Hara and Mary Lake. I would normally not shoot photos in the middle of the day however you really can’t appreciate the spectacular colours of these lakes unless you have overhead sun. Ten minutes before I took these shots the family sheltered in a small rock cave while a hail storm passed over. We experienced the full gamut of Canadian alpine summer weather on this trip with rain, hail, snow, wind and sunshine at various times. Yoho National Park, British Columbia, Canada
Mirror reflection at Kinney Lake. Mt Robson Provincial Park. British Columbia, Canada
A stormy pink alpenglow hits Castle Mountain at first light. I even had to back off the colour significantly in this shot for it to look somewhat realistic. Castle Mountain is in the remote Monkman Provincial Park in the Hart Ranges of the Central Rocky Mountains. The park lies to the South of Tumbler Ridge in a spectacularly rugged part of British Columbia. Canada.
