There is something about tropical sunsets that seems to makes them extra special. Perhaps it’s the fleeting nature of how quickly they pass compared to the higher latitudes, or perhaps it’s the sense of relief when the heat of the day begins to fade compared to the sense of impending cold when the sun disappears. The Temple of Dawn or Wat Arun, is a Thai Buddhist temple in Bangkok. First known to the west via French maps in the reign of King Narai (1656–1688) the current spires , known as prang, rise to to 86 m (282 ft) and were built during the reign of King Rama II in the early nineteenth century. The temple sits on the west bank of the Chao
